Leaf gutter guard

Reaching the roof to clean gutters can be a dangerous endeavour. Many injuries are caused by falls from roofs or ladders. Protecting your gutters with gutter guards will prevent the need to climb on the roof and clear the gutters yourself.

No more clogged gutters

Leaf and other debris can rapidly fill your gutters. This can block rainwater drainage and even cause overflow that damages the timbers and fascia of your roof. Unwanted pests can also reside in your gutters. They can gain access to your roof space and damage your ceilings and electrical cables.   Installing gutter guard prevents leaves and debris from collecting on roofs, gutters, valleys and downpipes by creating a “ski-slope”. It can be fitted to tile both tiled and metal roofing.

The installation of a gutter guard system provides a number of benefits such as:

  • reducing potential fire risk
  • no dangerous gutter cleaning
  • preventing water from entering you home in a heavy downfall if gutters and downpipes aren’t sufficiently cleaned
  • reduces the chance of bird or pest entry

There are 2 different types of products we recommend: Gum Leaf Gutter Guard and Gutter Protector Australia.  Both have been approved for use on domestic buildings and each come with their own advantages.  Gum Leaf Gutter Guard is a steel mesh that is installed on top of the gutters.  More information can be found on their website here.  Gutter Protector Australia is a foam wedge that sits inside the gutter. More information can be found on their website here.  However, if you have a preference for another type of leaf gutter guard system, this can also be installed.
